No movement in the top of the standings in either division this week. No movement in the bottom of the standings either. Lots of movement in the middle however.
Both divisions have very tight races with four teams only three points apart in the Masters division and three teams only two points apart in the US Open division.
This week will be our mid-year tournament and banquet. After consultation with several guys in the league, including our illustrious president, I have decided to go with the four-man best ball format. I'll be matching up teams from the Masters division with a team from the US Open division since we lost our second crossover round due to the rainout. I'll do my best to even out the handicaps, but since the handicaps will count toward the best ball score, it shouldn't matter too much. Also, to help even things out, we'll be counting the best TWO net scores for each team on each hole. Hopefully, I can come up with some sort of system to keep track of this on the scorecards that we have. Since everyone is playing their own ball, we'll probably just run a regular skins game rather than try some sort of team skins.
These are the subs that I'm aware of so far - please let me know of any others as soon as possible, so that I can get the teams matched up - Chris Fox for Tom Mellberg, Cliff Bush for Terry Tinti and Herb Volkert for Les Buchanan.
