The leaders after our first week of competition are: Jeff Bowman and Gary Christopher with 15 and-a-half points in the Masters division and Jason Klaben and Jim Myers with 12 points in the US Open division.
Just a quick note about scoring for all the new members and to refresh everyone else's memory: this is a twenty point league - ten points for each individual match - one for each hole and one for net total. The scorecards have boxes underneath the score line for you to mark the points. Just mark a "1" for whoever won the hole or "1/2" for both players if the hole was halved. There is a box under the net total score for marking the same thing - this is not a total box. Total up the points for each person and put it in the Total Pts box for that person. At the top of the card, there are lines for the total points for each team. The teams are listed in the same order as the card (i.e. Team 1 vs. 2 means Team 1's members are listed first in each section of the card). If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask me.
Hole #16 was an adventure this past week. It took until the very last group before anyone hit and stayed on the green. Terry Tinti was the only person to write his name on the card. The other unusual thing that happened on #16 was that Mike Steigerwalt chipped in for birdie which turned out to be the only skin of the night.
Week #2 honors go to the following individuals:
Low gross:Masters Division - 38 - Jeff Bowman
US Open Division - 44 - Mike Steigerwalt and Tony Macera
Low net:Masters Division - 33 - Jeff Bowman
US Open Division - 36 - Jim Myers, Dick Baker and Gary Reynolds
Skins: Mike Steigerwalt on #16
CTTP: Terry Tinti - ??? - Didn't bother to measure (see above)
