Well, our league’s first night went well. I think everyone had fun which was the point. And the weather was decent, which was a bonus.
The fun night winners were: In the US Open division, one of the new teams, Stuart Thomas and Ted Carey combined for a 37 to lead the division. Mike Steigerwalt and Don Beal shot 38 to come in second. In the Masters division, Steve Olson and Shawn Wilczynski combined for a 35 to lead the division. Doug Boles and Al Mix shot 37 to come in second. Congrats to all and good shooting!
This week we will start our regular league play. Refer to the roster on the home page which contains the league schedule at the bottom to see who you are playing this week.
With a number of new players this year, all of them will be establishing a handicap this week, so you won't be able to figure out points for them until after the night is over. If you wish, just bring the card to me and I can quickly figure out the points.
A reminder about subs - please let me know who will be subbing for you as soon as possible. This eliminates surprises at the course and me having to re-arrange score cards. Thanks!
Our skins game works as follows - skins are for individuals, so for anyone wanting to enter, the fee is $2 per person. The skins game is for the whole league - no divisions. There will be a signup sheet and a box for the money at our table each week. If there are no skins for a particular week, then the money carries over to the next week.
Skins: Gerry Place/Bill Mosher on #2, Randy Riker/Gary Mullen on #4, Kyle Thomas/Jeff Adams on #7 and Doug Boles/Al Mix on #8
CTTP: John Payne - 15' 1"
