Congratulations to our winners. After taking 13-and-a-half points the first week, the team of Steve Miller and Bill Scott never looked back as they led the Masters division the entire year. In their match this past week, they had a close call however as Shad Rafferty and Paul Karakantas took 11 points to get within a half-point of first place.

Over in the US Open division, Mike Steigerwalt and Don Beal had an easier time as they trounced the second place team and ended up nearly ten points ahead of second place.

We had an interesting situation with the skins this week. We had no skins - all the birdies were canceled out. Since this was the last week of the season and we can't carry it over, we took the hardest hole by handicap that was birdied and split the money between all the birdies on that hole. The hole turned out to be #13 which Steve Olson and Jeff Bowman both birdied. Steve had a three or four foot birdie putt while Jeff chipped in from twenty yards off the green. By the way, Todd Mallinson would have won the whole pot as he birdied #17, but you've got to be in it to win it.

This Saturday is the year-end tournament and banquet. I sent the team rosters in a separate e-mail, so if you didn't get it, let me know. For those who will be there, we'll see you at 9 am. For those who will not, we'll hopefully see you next year.

I'd like to thank the other officers of the league, Gary Simmons, Jeff Baker and Scott Steiner for all they've done this year in helping to keep the league running smooth.
