Over in the US Open division, the first place team has wrapped it up as they lead by 24 points. Jerry Gillette and Tom Leahy are the division champions.
 
If we are rained out this week, we will make-up the final position round next week. Otherwise, there is no golf next week.

The year-end tournament will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 5^th with a shotgun start at our usual time of 5:15pm. The format is 9-hole four-man captain and crew with teams formed by matching up two different league teams. A banquet will follow. I need to know who will be attending. If you cannot attend, you may find a sub for yourself, but please let me know ahead of time who your sub is. Or, I can find a sub for you. Since we hand out monetary prizes for the YET, I need to make the teams as even as possible. You will be matched up with your partner or his sub, but beyond that, I can't make any promises. Any last minute subs that cause the team's total handicap to decrease will be access penalty strokes to restore the balance, so no last minute ringers. Also, no new subs. Please signup on the signup sheet at the course or respond to the e-mail that I sent out last week.

Also, the Tuesday night league secretary (George) is running a Calcutta tournament that is open to all league players. It is taking place on Sunday, Sept. 30^th and is $25 per person. The format is four-man captain and crew with teams being drawn on Friday, Sept. 27^th at 7pm. There will be beer and soda on the course and a skins game for $20 per team. See George or myself if you are interested.
