Much less movement in the US Open division as the top three teams all stayed the same. Gillette/Leahy opened up their lead again this past week as they are now thirteen-and-a-half points ahead of the two teams tied for second..

This week is the mid-year tournament and banquet. As we have done the past several years, we are having a four-man best ball tournament. This means everyone plays their own ball. You will take the two best scores (with handicap included) to count for your score. The cards will have your handicap strokes marked on the appropriate holes and spots for each of your best ball scores (note - the scores can come from any two guys - they do not have to come from each team or anything like that). Pairings are noted in the results for this week. Since this is a fun night, your scores for this week will not count against your handicap. We will have some prizes at the banquet for the teams with the lowest scores. There will be a signup sheet at our table for your banquet meal. The choice is the same as last year - Philly Cheese Steak or Marinated Chicken Breast Sandwich.

Looking ahead, I will be missing my first night of golf in this league in eight years next Wednesday (6/27), as I will be attending a training class in Pennsylvania for my new job. Scott Steiner will be filling in for me. Please e-mail me your subs for that week as soon as possible so Scott doesn't have to change any cards around. Thanks!
