Doug Boles and Tony Macera still lead the Lansing Division by seven-and-a-half points over Scott Steiner and Pat Mikula. Ray Doty and Wayne Sherwood still lead the World Division by eight points over Stuart Thomas and Ted Carey.

Round of the week - Bob Anderson had a near perfect round by shooting a net 29 and taking nine-and-a-half points. Only a double-bogey on #11 prevented him from taking all ten points. I think I've only seen maybe one other nine-and-a-half point round and no ten point rounds in the near 15 years I've been in the league. Nice round, Bob!

We're getting down to the last few weeks - two more regular matches and then the final position round. If there are any more rainouts, we will use August 27th as a makeup week. Otherwise, we will have that week off - no league golf, but feel free to golf that week anyway (a friendly match between the two division winners perhaps?). The women will be having their year-end banquet that night. Our year-end tournament and banquet will be on September 3rd, with the tournament being our usual captain-and-crew format. I'll be sending out an e-mail in the next couple of weeks to find out who will be there so that I can make up the teams. Please find your own sub for that week.
