Congratulations to this year's winners - Doug Boles and Tony Macera in the Lansing division and Ray Doty and Wayne Sherwood in the World division. This marks the second year in a row that Tony has won his division - last year he won it with Dick Baker as his partner. Meanwhile, this is the third year in a row that the team of Stuart Thomas and Ted Carey has placed second in their division - all three years that they've been in the league. Well, better luck next year!

In other news at the bottom of the standings, Scott Bishop and Craig Christopher had a big 13.5 point night in the Lansing division to move up two spots from last place to 10th while Bob Knapp and Gary Mullen moved down one spot to last place. Over in the World division, Gary Tingley and Gary Wilson held on to their last place spot.

I have compiled some statistics from the season and listed them below for your amusement.

The year-end tournament will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 3rd with a shotgun start at our usual time of 5:15pm. The format is 9-hole four-man captain and crew with teams formed by matching up two different league teams. A banquet will follow. I have responses from most people on whether or not they can make it, but if your circumstances should change and you find a sub, please let me know ASAP. Any last minute subs that cause the team's total handicap to decrease significantly will be accessed penalty strokes to restore the balance, so no last minute ringers. Also, no new subs.
