Tony Macera and Doug Boles are still in first in the Lansing division. Their lead is a little smaller after the position round as they now hold a two-and-a-half point lead over the Treasurer and the President.
Wayne Sherwood and Ray Doty, meanwhile, increased their lead in the World division to six-and-a-half points over the new second place team of Stuart Thomas and Ted Carey (thanks to their subs). An interesting observation about the World division - eight out of twelve teams are over .500 with a ninth team just one point under .500. This must be due to the beating they gave the Lansing division a couple of weeks ago in the crossover round.
A quick reminder about the skins game - you are responsible for writing down your own skins - don't expect your opponents to do it for you. We don't go through the cards looking for all of the birdies and eagles. Also, we will not wait forever for the last card if it is much later than the rest. If you want to play extra holes, for example, and you have skins-eligible birdies or eagles, please bring your card in and mark down them down before you play the extra hole. I'm not going to set a time limit for this as it is not usually a problem, but I want to make sure that you are aware of this.
Our mid-year tournament and banquet is coming up next week. For those of you who are new to the league, we have a fun tournament and banquet afterwards. There is usually a choice of sandwiches and several side dishes for the meal. If there are rainouts during the first half, we use this week as a make-up and have the tournament at the same time.
