In the Lansing division, Jeff Bowman and Gary Christopher are just one-and-a-half points ahead of Dick Biviano and Paul Karakantas in second. In the World division, Ed Dow, Sr. and Al Maccou lost some ground as they are now just eleven-and-a-half points ahead of the second place team of George Muller and Les Richmond.
Hole of the day goes to George Muller who owns the 16th hole. Just this year, he has now won three closest to the pin balls on that hole. Unfortunately for George on this night, he dead-pulled the putt and had to settle for par. He could have cancelled a skin on that hole and helped his partner win the only skin of the night. I hear that they split their winnings, so George cost himself some money on that putt.
Watch out for the foxes on #18 - Wayne Sherwood was playing a few extra holes after golf was over and was on the 18th when a fox was spotted near the green. His playing partners had noticed foxes on the 18th in the past, so they kept an eye on this one. The fox sat patiently behind the hole up against the brush when Wayne's ball settled just past the hole on the fringe in the back, left corner of the green. The fox calmly walked down to the ball, picked it up in his mouth and walked into the brush with it. Don't say you haven't been warned!
