In the Lansing division, there are new leaders as John Payne and Tom Burke hold a five point lead over three teams tied for second - Bowman/Christopher, Biviano/Karakantas and Miller/Scott. With just three weeks left, Ed Dow, Sr. and Al Maccou have made it tough for anyone to catch them in the World division as they now have a twelve-and-a-half point lead over the new second place team of Bob Brackett and Ted Capogrossi - tough but not impossible.

Wayne Sherwood had another run-in with a fox on the course after league was over. This time it was on #10. Wayne was so worried about the fox taking another golf ball from him that he chased it around with the golf cart to no avail. The fox wouldn't leave the hedgerow behind the green. After finishing the hole, he wouldn't tee off #11 from the white tees, he had to go down to the seniors'/womens' tees to tee off. I think Wayne is getting a little paranoid about those cute little furry creatures.
