Fortunately, the weather decided to cooperate with us for our first week. It was a decent night for golf. The course was still a little wet, but not too bad. Hopefully, the rain will hold off and we'll be able to play this week.
The fun night winners were: In the Lansing division, Scott Steiner/Pat Mikula and Jeff Baker/Dick Baker both had scores of 38 to lead the division. After matching cards, Steiner/Mikula won the division. Over in the World division, Steve Miller and Bill Scott came in first with a score of 38. Bill LaRock/Steve Tinker and Ed Dow/Al Maccou both had a score of 41 and after matching cards, LaRock/Tinker came in second. Congrats to all and good shooting!
This week we will start our regular league play. Refer to the roster on the home page which contains the league schedule at the bottom to see who you are playing this week.
One thing that I forgot to mention in my earlier info mailings is that this year we are allowing league members who are 70 years old or older to use the senior tees. You will need to establish a new handicap from these tees. There is only one person that I'm aware of that will be using these tees - Bill Scott. Subs are also allowed to use these if they meet the age requirement. Please let me know if anyone else decides to use them.
There are a few new players this year who will be establishing a handicap this week, so you won’t be able to figure out points for them until after the night is over. If you wish, just bring the card to me and I can quickly figure out the points.
A reminder about subs - please let me know who will be subbing for you as soon as possible. This eliminates surprises at the course and me having to re-arrange score cards. Thanks!
Our skins game works as follows - skins are for individuals, so for anyone wanting to enter, the fee is $2 per person. The skins game is for the whole league - no divisions. There will be a signup sheet and a box for the money at our table each week. If there are no skins for a particular week, then the money carries over to the next week.
Skins: Scott Steiner/Pat Mikula on #9
CTTP: George Muller - 14'
