Lots of good scores this week as we had our lowest gross and net scores of the year. In the Lansing division, Dick Biviano and Paul Karakantas have further widened their lead to eight-and-a-half points over second place. The race for second has heated up as there are a bunch of teams within a few points of second. In the World division, Ed Dow and Al Maccou have maintained their lead of four-and-a-half points over second. However, there's a new second place team as Gerry Place and Bill Mosher had a big night to move up.

This upcoming week is our mid-year tournament and banquet. I will try to pair up everyone with a team from the other division - you can ignore the matchups on the results sheet. As we have done the past several years, we are having a four-man best ball tournament. This means everyone plays their own ball. You will take the two best scores (with handicap included) to count for your score. The cards will have your handicap strokes marked on the appropriate holes and spots for each of your best ball scores (note - the scores can come from any two guys - they do not have to come from each team or anything like that). Since this is a fun night, your scores for this week will not count against your handicap. Since everyone is playing their own ball, the skins game will work as it normally does. We will have some prizes at the banquet for the teams with the lowest scores.
