Congratulations to the Grand Champions - Ted Kilts and Tim Walters. They beat Les Richmond and Wayne Sherwood 13.5 to 6.5 points. This is the second year in a row that Les is the first loser. Over the course of the season, the Lansing division beat the World division for the second year in a row in crossover matches - 161.5 points to 158.5 points.

We got a card from the Bill Scott family thanking us for our thoughts and our donation to the Dryden Sports Booster Club. I'll have the card with me this week if you'd like to read it.

I have compiled some statistics from the season and listed them below for your amusement.

The year-end tournament will take place this week with a shotgun start at our usual time of 5:15pm. The format is 9-hole four-man captain and crew with teams formed by matching up two different league teams. A banquet with hamburgers, hot dogs, tossed salad and potato or mac salad will follow. I have responses from everyone on whether or not they can make it, but if your circumstances should change and you find a sub, please let me know ASAP. Any last minute subs that cause the team's total handicap to decrease significantly will be assessed penalty strokes to restore the balance, so no last minute ringers. Also, no new subs.

Results from the fun night:

In the Lansing division, Jeff Bowman and Gary Christopher shot 34 to take first place, while Doug Boles and Tony Macera shot 35 for second. In the World division, Steve Miller and Derran Smith shot 38 for first place, while Mike Scott and Bill Scott shot 39 for second place. Ed Dow and Al Maccou also shot 39, but lost when cards were matched.
