In the Lansing division, Doug Boles and Tony Macera now have a five and a half point lead over the second place team of Al Christopher and Steve Gobel. In the World division, Doug Volbrecht and Jon LaRock have taken over first place and lead by a point and a half over Steve Miller and his parade of subs who are tied with Tom Sullivan and Jim Myers for second place.
This upcoming week is our mid-year tournament and banquet. Since we were rained out in our first week, we will make up that week in addition to having the tournament - the matchups are on the results sheet. As we have done the past several years, we are having a four-man best ball tournament. You will have an additional card for the tournament. You will take the two best scores (with handicap included) to count for your score. The cards will have your handicap strokes marked on the appropriate holes and spots for each of your best ball scores (note - the scores can come from any two guys - they do not have to come from each team or anything like that). Since everyone is playing their own ball, the skins game will work as it normally does. We will have some prizes at the banquet for the teams with the lowest scores. Our banquet menu is chicken breast sandwiches with mac salad and tossed salad.
