Once again there is a flip-flop in the Lansing division. Jeff Baker and Dick Baker are now in first place one point ahead of Dick Biviano and Steve Tinker. In the World division, Ed Dow and David Dow have seen their lead shrink to a half point over Mike Scott and Riley Brewer.
In the big father versus son matchup this week, Bill LaRock took six-and-a-half points from his son Jon. In the crossover round, the Lansing division won over the World division 149.5 to 130.5.
This upcoming week is our mid-year tournament and banquet. Since we were rained out in our first week, we will make up that week in addition to having the tournament - the matchups are on the results sheet. As we have done the past several years, we are having a four-man best ball tournament. You will have an additional card for the tournament. You will take the two best scores (with handicap included) to count for your score. The cards will have your handicap strokes marked on the appropriate holes and spots for each of your best ball scores (note - the scores can come from any two guys - they do not have to come from each team or anything like that). Since everyone is playing their own ball, the skins game will work as it normally does. We will have some prizes at the banquet for the teams with the lowest scores. Our banquet menu is hamburgers and hot dogs with potato salad and baked beans. If you are having a sub play for you, let them know about the tournament and the fact that there is a meal provided for them afterwards.
