Congratulations to our league champions, Jerry Gillette and Jeff Whitaker, who defeated second-place team Rick Walters and Danny Boles 12 to 8. The rest of the playoff teams ended up like this: 3rd Place - Place/Mosher, 4th - Boles/Macera, 5th - Howell/Nielsen/Drew, 6th - Schwarz/Carey, 7th - Steiner/Mikula, 8th - Troisi/DeForest.

In the mini-tournament, Ed Dow and David Dow won with 39 total points. Al Christopher and Steve Gobel took second place with 36.5 points.

This week is a free week - you may do whatever you want - make up your own matches or take the week off. We will be playing the back and the women will be having their year-end tournament and banquet.

I have compiled some statistics from the season and listed them below for your amusement.

The year-end tournament will take place next week (30th) with a shotgun start at our usual time of 5:15pm. The format is 9-hole four-man captain and crew with teams formed by matching up two different league teams. A banquet with chicken breast sandwiches, baked beans, mac salad and tossed salad will follow. The banquet will happen rain or shine, so please show up. I have responses from almost everyone on whether or not they can make it, but if your circumstances should change and you find a sub, please let me know ASAP. Any last minute subs that cause the team's total handicap to decrease significantly will be assessed penalty strokes to restore the balance, so no last minute ringers. Also, no new subs.
