Three teams are tied at 31 after the first week of the year-end tournament. Bowman/Christopher/Brewer/Jerome, Howell/Lovejoy/Richmond/Sherwood and Macera/Boles/LaRock/Volbrecht are the three teams. Two teams are tied at 32 and three are tied at 33. So lots of teams are very close to the lead.
This week we will continue our 18-hole year-end tournament on the front side. You will play with the same team this week. Payout for the tournament will be based on combined score for the two weeks. If a rainout occurs this week, the tournament will be determined by this past week's results. The banquet (and payouts for the league) will take place regardless, so show up even if the weather is bad.
There will be long drive and closest-to-the-pin contests again this week that will be open to everyone - no fee for the CTTP contest. There will be a new team skins available for $20 per team.
Subs can be found as usual, but only subs that are eligible (played already during this season). The teams are fairly uneven (I've done the best I can to even out the four-man teams but there is only so much I can do without breaking up the two-man teams of the regular league). So, I'm not too worried about whether the sub has a different handicap than the person they're subbing for, but I reserve the right to give a penalty stroke to any team whose handicap goes too far away from the other teams when a sub is introduced. Please let me know of your subs ahead of time as usual.
You'll be given back the scorecard that you used this past week to fill out the front nine and add up the total score. Any ties for the standings will be broken by matching cards over the 18 holes.
