We had a great night for golfing and the tournament was a lot of fun. Thanks to Scott Steiner for arranging the banquet and the staff at Stonehedges for a nice meal. We'll keep that format next year - two weeks and 18 holes of YET - assuming that there are no rainouts during the playoffs, in which case, we'll use the first week to makeup a playoff rainout and go back to a 9 hole tournament.

We kept the same officers as last year - Mike Scott - President, Scott Steiner - Treasurer and myself - Secretary. We decided to keep the general schedule of the league - there was a question about crossover matches between the two conferences and we would have had one more if there had been fewer rainouts. I do try to use the min-tournament as well to create some crossover matches. We also decided to keep the maximum handicap at 20. We decided not to give two strokes on par 3s - instead to move that extra stroke to the next hardest hole to keep the total strokes given the same as usual. The one caveat that I didn't think of at the meeting was that there may be no choice (giving two strokes on every hole), in which case two strokes will be given on par 3s in that instance. The last thing was for me to talk to the course about allowing guys to pay the following week if they miss a week and have a sub. That way the sub does not have to pay for themselves and try to get re-imbursed. I have not talked to the course yet, but will do so.

Results of the year-end tournament:

1st place (62) - Tony Macera, Doug Boles, Jon LaRock and Doug Volbrecht
2nd place (64) - Jeff Baker, Dick Baker, Tim Welsh and Chris Aston
3rd place (64) - Jeff Bowman, Gary Christopher, Riley Brewer and Ted Jerome
4th place (65) - Jeff Howell, Joe Lovejoy, Les Richmond and Wayne Sherwood

It's been another good year of golf and I hope to see you all next year!
