Congratulations to our league champions, Jerry Gillette and Jeff Whitaker, who defeated second-place team Jeff Howell and Joe Lovejoy 13.5 to 6.5. The rest of the playoff teams ended up like this: 3rd Place - Richmond/Sherwood, 4th - Christopher/Bishop, 5th - Macera/Boles, 6th - Stone/Kratzer, 7th - Mosher/Coyne, 8th - Baker/Baker.
In the mini-tournament, Ed Dow and David Dow won with 39 total points. Nate Evangelista and Dave Evangelista took second place with 36 points.
I have compiled some statistics from the season and listed them below for your amusement.
The year-end tournament will take place this week with a shotgun start at our usual time of 5:15pm. The format is 9-hole four-man captain and crew with teams formed by matching up two different league teams. A banquet with deli sandwiches, mac & cheese and tossed salad will follow. The banquet will happen rain or shine, so please show up. You may find your own subs (no new subs please) as usual. I'm still playing around with the team matchups, so I'll have them posted at the course this Wednesday. There will be a team skins for $20 per team available. Also, there will be long drive and CTTP contests open to everyone.
