Macera/Boles/Smith/Walters and VanOstrand/Anderson/Evangelista/Evangelista are tied for first at 29 after the first week of the year-end tournament. Baker/Baker/Mosher/Coyne sit in third with 31. Barron/Reynolds/Ramat/Austin and Richmond/Sherwood/Ward/Bevins are tied for fourth at 32.
This week we will continue our 18-hole year-end tournament on the front side. You will play with the same team this week. Payout for the tournament will be based on combined score for the two weeks. If a rainout occurs this week, the tournament will be determined by this past week's results. The banquet (and payouts for the league) will take place regardless, so please show up even if the weather is bad - everyone gets something back for the league - so free food and money! The banquet menu is cold cut subs, mac salad and tossed salad.
There will be long drive and closest-to-the-pin contests again this week that will be open to everyone - no fee for the CTTP contest. Prizes for these contests will be a sleeve of balls. There will be a new team skins available for $20 per team. For those teams that won skins this past week, I will keep $20 for your skins this week and payout the rest.
Subs can be found as usual, but only subs that are eligible (played already during this season). The teams are fairly uneven (I've done the best I can to even out the four-man teams but there is only so much I can do without breaking up the two-man teams of the regular league). So, I'm not too worried about whether the sub has a different handicap than the person they're subbing for, but I reserve the right to give a penalty stroke to any team whose handicap goes too far away from the other teams when a sub is introduced. Please let me know of your subs ahead of time as usual.
You'll be given back the scorecard that you used this past week to fill out the front nine and add up the total score. Any ties for the standings will be broken by matching cards over the 18 holes.
I have compiled some statistics from the season and listed them below for your amusement.
