Holes of the week: On #11, Colton Dow hit his tee shot to about 150 yards out (nice drive!) and then hit a gap wedge. The ball bounced once and then trickled in the hole for an albatross. Congratulations! Just the third albatross since I've been the league secretary (Jim Myers had one in 2020 on #5 and I believe it was Scott Bishop who had one using his two shots on #18 during our captain and crew year-end tournament in 2004). On #16, Jim Myers hit a three hybrid a little thin but it was going right for the flag. Al Christopher and John Woodward witnessed the ball hit the pin, but it was going way too fast to drop in. Jim had to settle for closest to the pin. He then proceeded to play a little too much break and missed the putt for birdie (and came up one stroke short of his lowest 9 hole score ever).
This week is a makeup for a rainout. Next week is our final position round and after that, the playoffs start.
