Winners in the playoffs were: Boles/Macera defeated Baker/Baker in the second playoff hole after tying 10 to 10 and Scott/Miller defeated Dow/Dow 11.5 to 8.5. The winners will play each other this week for the league championship and the losers will play each other to help settle 3rd and 4th place.
In the mini-tournament, Nemeth/Alexander and Myers/Sullivan are tied for first with 25 points each. Dow/Forand sit in third with 22.5 points.
BTW, the standings are no longer relevant, all standings (as far as payouts at the YET) are handled through the playoffs and the mini-tournament. The results sheet just shows last week's points and this week's matchups. The rankings can be ignored.
Looking ahead to the 27th, if we don't get rained out this week, we will start the year-end tournament and it will last two weeks over 18 holes. If we have a rainout, then the YET will be on 9/3 and will be just 9 holes. The YET is a four-person captain and crew tournament where I put two league teams together. I will match low handicap teams with high handicap teams to make all 12 teams as even as possible. You may find your own subs as usual (no new subs again please). I reserve the right to penalize any team that finds a sub that throws their team handicap out of whack (i.e. a 2 handicap subs for a 17 handicap). If you know you will miss both weeks and have lined up the same sub for both weeks, please let me know (a couple of league members have already talked to me about it) so that I can adjust your team matchup accordingly. We do have a separate payout for the top four teams in the YET, so don't miss it!
