Congratulations to our league champions (for the second year in a row), Doug Boles and Tony Macera, who defeated second-place team Steve Miller and Mike Scott 14.5 to 5.5. The rest of the playoff teams ended up like this: 3rd Place and 4th Place (tie) - Baker/Baker and Dow/Dow, 5th and 6th (also a tie) - Dennison/Spencer and Reynolds/Barron, 7th - VanOstrand/Anderson, 8th - Amato/English.

In the mini-tournament, Martin Nemeth and Ryan Alexander won with 37.5 total points. Bill Mosher and David Teeter took second place with 35.5 points.

Hole of the day: #8 - Martin Nemeth pulled his tee shot left onto #2. He then hit his next shot completely over #8 fairway and halfway to #6 fairway. His third shot ended up right of the green (from his view) halfway to #11. He then chipped it over some tree limbs onto the green and rolled into the hole for a par. He made the 350 yard hole into a 700 yard hole and still made par!

I have compiled some statistics from the season and listed them below for your amusement.

This week will be the first week for our year-end tournament. We will play the back this week and the front next week. This will be a four-man captain and crew format. I'm still working on figuring out the teams so ignore the team matchups on the results page. Skins will be $20 per team each week with separate payouts for each week. A banquet with lasagna, garlic bread and tossed salad will follow the round next week (9/3). If there is a rainout this week, the YET will be reduced to just one week and 9 holes. Also, there will be long drive and CTTP contests open to everyone (no extra fees) each week as well.
